After receiving the Eucharist the disciples immediately begin debating who among them is greatest. This reflects a timeless human flaw: the desire for status, even in sacred moments. Despite the profound meaning of communion, we still fall into comparison and pride. The Kingdom of Heaven isn't about status, but service. Jesus showed this by washing His disciples' feet; a radical act of humility. True greatness in His Kingdom is found in putting others first, not ourselves. As C. S. Lewis said,
